Happy Valentine’s Day! In honor of the day of love, it’s time to celebrate one of the things I love best: BOOKS!
As you may or may not know, a couple of years ago Oscar and I had big dreams of opening a used English bookstore here in Taiwan. That dream did not become a reality (I got an art studio instead, whoops!) but we still have LOTS AND LOTS of gently used English books waiting to go to a good home.
So, inspired by something I’ve seen in my favorite indie bookshops, I’ve decided to host my very own “blind date with a book”!
Here’s how it works:
For just $10 (NT$300 for you Taiwan friends), you’ll get your very own surprise book in the mail, plus a fun assortment of Scatterbrain Studios goodies specifically curated for book lovers! Stickers, pins, bookmarks, perhaps even a magnet or an art print… all worth AT LEAST $16 / NT$500 (but actually probably a lot more than that, because I have a tendency to get carried away).
And let me be clear… this is not a “random” assortment, and it’s not coming from the clearance bin. It’s a blind date, which means I’m hand-picking the things that I think you’ll like best!
All of our books are gently used and still in good condition. (Some may have some page yellowing though, thanks to the Taiwan humidity.) You can choose your favorite genre or let your blind date be totally and completely blind!
